Megan always wanted to be a vet. After graduating from NSAC in 2005 she headed to the Atlantic Veterinary College, where she earned her DVM in 2009. She spent her first year after graduation at AVC as an ambulatory equine vet, then decided to move home to Pictou County. Megan came back to the New Glasgow Veterinary Clinic in 2010 as a veterinarian, after spending time there as a student before vet school, and now enjoys providing care for both her small animal and equine patients.
Megan lives on a farm in Scotsburn with her partner Greg, and her children Brandon, Ashlyn and Claire, where they operate a Standardbred breeding farm. They also have a Jack Russell, Fergus and four cats.
